Interventional Radiology & Vascular Interventions

Advanced Treatment Through Precision Imaging

At Suretech Hospital, Interventional Radiology brings together advanced imaging technology, specialist expertise and minimally invasive treatment techniques to manage a wide range of vascular and non-vascular conditions.

Unlike conventional surgery, many interventional radiology procedures can be performed through a small needle puncture or vascular access, using specialised catheters and real-time imaging to precisely reach the area requiring treatment.

Our Cathlab and advanced imaging infrastructure provide the platform for complex image-guided interventions, helping patients access specialised treatment with precision and, where clinically appropriate, avoiding the need for major open surgery.

Dr. Tejas Sadavarte

Consultant Interventional Radiologist

The Interventional Radiology service at Suretech is supported by the expertise of Dr. Tejas Sadavarte, a specialist in Interventional Radiology and Vascular Interventions.

Dr. Sadavarte holds MBBS, MD (Radio Diagnosis) and PDCC in Interventional Radiology qualifications. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Government Medical College, Nagpur, and serves as Treasurer of the Maharashtra Society of Interventional Radiology.

His professional experience encompasses both diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, with particular interests in:

  • Vascular Interventions

  • Oncology Interventions

  • Neuro-Interventional Radiology

  • Acute Stroke Management

  • Peripheral Vascular Disease

  • Endovascular Procedures

  • Varicose Vein Interventions

His reported procedural experience includes intracranial aneurysm coiling, AVM embolisation, intracranial stenting, endovascular management of acute stroke, varicose vein ablation and other vascular interventions.

Image-Guided Treatment – Without Major Incisions

Interventional Radiology uses real-time imaging to guide specialised wires, catheters, needles and other devices to the precise location requiring treatment.

Depending on the condition, this approach may be used for:

Vascular Interventions

Treatment of selected blockages and abnormalities affecting blood vessels, including peripheral vascular disease and other arterial or venous conditions.

Varicose Vein Treatment

Image-guided minimally invasive procedures for selected patients with symptomatic varicose veins and venous insufficiency.

Neuro-Interventional Procedures

Specialised endovascular procedures for selected conditions involving the blood vessels of the brain, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and acute stroke.

Oncology Interventions

Image-guided procedures that can form part of the multidisciplinary treatment of selected cancers.

Embolisation Procedures

Controlled blocking of abnormal or unwanted blood flow to a specific area, used in appropriately selected vascular, tumour and other clinical conditions.

The Cathlab – Precision at Every Step

Suretech's Cathlab provides real-time fluoroscopic imaging required for a range of cardiovascular and vascular interventions.

The Cathlab environment allows specialists to visualise blood vessels dynamically and guide catheters and devices with precision.

For patients requiring complex interventions, the availability of Cathlab, advanced Radiology, CT, MRI, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and multispeciality specialists provides an important integrated treatment environment.
